Calvin Darling | The Dreamweaver

I was back in Chicago and I ran into Calvin Darling and his father.

We were talking and I asked Calvin what he had done with his life that I had tried to reach out to him many times on Facebook and he said that he had gone to Doctor’s College so I asked if he became a doctor and he said no and then I started talking to his father and realized we had been in an ice bath at a spa.

Calvin’s father said that he had lived out west and I said I thought I remembered the family moving to Northern California.

I asked the father if he had remarried and he said he had been married a few times and also had another son and mentioned that he was forty and I couldn’t make sense of the math or the timeline that he would be forty.

Later, I found myself at the Dolnick Center setting up for a one night only acoustic concert where one of my old school friends was supposed to meet me to help me organize the night, but he didn’t show up so I set up the stage in the room in the hall upstairs and then realizing it was almost showtime I went downstairs and started switching on all the lights and removing some damp towels from some towel holders that were oddly placed on the walls, and I had this eerie sensation being back there after having spent my childhood in that building.

Suddenly, I felt the presence of ghosts and at one point heard a noise coming from down the hallway downstairs and a black man peaked his head out of a door on the right side of the corridor and seem to be talking to someone else there.

Then I woke up.
