I was driving through the Alpujarra mountains (where parts of my new, “real life” novel is set), and as it was market day, I struggles to squeeze my large, luxury car through some of the more narrower streets that are filled with market stalls.
Driving higher and higher from village to village, my car’s on-board displays indicate that the road is becoming too steep for me to continue my journey by car, so I end up inside of a large metal bucket with my dog and as we reach the summit, the bucket falls over the ridge like a roller coaster at its pinnacle and then tips over the top and begins its rapid descent downhill.
At the bottom, we plunged into a shallow ravine which soaked my trousers and reminded me that my cellphone was in my back pocket.
Then I woke up.
